To start are project are initial plan was to make a desk as are final project. After reviewing desk projects we realized that would take too much work to complete In the amount of time we had to complete the project. We came to agreement with Mr. Dixon that we would glue up pinewood to make the front face of the desk. With limited time available we couldn’t completely finish are wood finishing work, but we did finish all of are wood burning. Some of the issues we ran into when doing are project was keeping the boards from cupping when glued them up. We used three 6 foot wood clamps keeping two on the top side and one on the bottom side of the boards to counter balance the pressure. The quotes we wood burned on are project were; “Pretty girls always cause trouble.” (Tracy video, 1949) We decided on this quote because that’s how Rudy and I truly feel. The other quote we used was from Apocalypse Now, “I love the smell of napalm in the morning, it smells like victory. (Brando/sheen Video 1979) We chose this quote because its fucking awesome Keane. It makes me want to go read a book. The final quote we used was, “Alive” (Shelly, Pg.47) Frankenstein. To be honest Keane once I found out your were retiring I didn’t care to work too hard on this project because your not even going to be here to see it.
